Big Bad Beast by Shelly Laurenston

All I have to say is OMG!!!! I absolutely loved this book! Shelly Laurenston is one of my favorite authors of all time. I don't think I will ever come across a book that I don't love that she wrote. The woman just fits my style!

This book is about Ric Van Holtz and Dee-Ann Smith. Ric is from a family born into money and Dee-Ann is the down south country girl with a deadly side. Ric is her supervisor to The Group. The purpose is to protect shifters.

Dee-Ann is the lethal, non-compassionate, loner that has no plans of finding a mate. Ric is sort of like a social butterfly. He is the executive chef of his family's restaurant, he owns a hockey team and plays the goalie, the supervisor of The Group, and he attends charities/fundraisers. They're total opposites. Ric has known since the beginning that Dee-Ann is the one. It took a little longer for Dee-Ann to realize it though. What I love so much about Ric is how much he loves to cook and feed Dee-Ann. He tells her he thinks she is too skinny. Now what woman wouldn't love to hear that from their man!

What I love the most about this book is how Shelly Laurenston makes the characters from her previous books in the series as supporting characters. Usually in a series you only get a glimpse or brief update of past characters. Reading a series from Shelly Laurenston is like reading a soap opera! You get your fill of each current and past character! In this book there are scenes including Niles Van Holtz and Irene, Mace and Dez, Brendan and Ronnie Lee, Mitch and Sissy Mae, Bobby Ray and Jessica Ann, and Bo and Blayne. You're also introduced to some new characters which I'm sure we will be reading in the future. If you haven't read the other stories I suggest you do before reading the Big Bad Beast. This will give you the chance to fall in love with the other characters and understand their personalities and sense of humor.

This book is laugh out loud funny with some suspense and very erotic sex scenes. I will definitely read this one over again!

I have read quite a few books by Brenda Jackson and Irresistable Forces is my absolute favorite. The main characters are Dominic Saxon and Taylor Steele. Taylor is Dominic's asset manager. Dominic is filthy rich. Not to mention he's half French half African American with green eyes! Taylor is ready to have a child and she propositions Dominic to be her baby's father. She wants to spend a week on a procreation island. Because their is a mutual attraction and they both want to be parents, Dominic agrees!

The chemistry between these two is explosive. The love scenes will have you squirming! Dominic is definitely that alpha super sexy male that women love. Brenda Jackson out did herself on this book.

Dominic has issues with his grandfather but Taylor wants the grandfather to be apart of their child's life. This infuriates Dominic and he decides to make his relationship with Taylor strictly business. His love for her is far deeper than he realized and when he finds out Taylor is in France to celebrate his grandfather's birthday he decides to make the trip as well. In the end, Dominic puts the past behind him regarding his grandfather and he confesses his love to Taylor and propose marriage. Taylor says yes! I only wished the book ended with the birth of the baby

I give this book a whopping 5 out 5 stars!!! I absolutely loved it!
